Responisible for the collaborative conceptualization of campaign ads and the design and dreation of all ads for Denver Psilocybin Initiative. With out help, this ballot initiative successfully passed, decriminalizing the use and possession of psilocybiin mushrooms in Denver.
I worked on this project together with copywriter, Matthew Duffy, to strategically think about the specific audiences we would be addressing.
Our main challenge was creating ads that not only let people know about the initiative but could also dispel myths around psilocybin mushrooms and encourage people on both sides of the aisle to see this as a relevant issue to them.
results
The campaign saw over $51,000 in donations and reached over 647,000 Denver voters. The election itself saw the highest voter turnout for a municipal election with over 185,081 ballots cast and Denver became the first U.S. city ever to decriminalize psylosybin.
